The PlayStation 4 rumor mill has been completely ignited by the upcoming press conference that Sony will be hosting toward the end of February, which has caused many to believe that is when the new system will be unveiled.
According to a Twitter post on Friday, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter said that there indeed will be investors and media in attendance for the major event this coming February.
"Sony is inviting investors and media to the Feb 20 event; that means console announcement. I'm genuinely excited, although I will be in LA," Pachter said.
He is not the only individual who is nearly convinced by this news, as many, many people have jumped on things to say this is where the PlayStation 4 will be announced, and really, who could blame them?
This has PlayStation 4 written all over it, and it's not the same situation that many people saw with the PlayStation Destination event that caused some to think the same.
That was a Sony-held business meeting between them, developers and retailers who all are looking to do business.
Now they may have discussed the new system there, but no one will know.
This situation is different because they are inviting people who are financially invested in the company, as well as people who will be publicizing the event.
They wouldn't just drag people around for the hell of it. Although it may be earlier than Sony had been teasing for when they would announcing their new console, it is exciting nonetheless.
