It’s the middle of February, a “murky month”, according to my current newsletter predictions, when it’s hard to tell whether projects are dead or alive—which could apply to the “will-it-won’t-it-happen” U.S. sequester, or our slow business, or whether we’re going to find out if we got that job.
Add Mercury retrograde to that, coming up soon! It's first cycle this year is February 23rd to March 16th(and it’s already started, the time you can expect to have to return things you bought that didn’t work, or on the plus side, get things “righter” which is more what the planets suggest this Mercury retrograde is about). FYI, the other Mercury retrograde periods this year are June 9th-25th, and October 1st-20th.
It’s a big sign from the Universe to take it one day at a time, and this period especially, we are asked to accept our workload, whatever it is. Our goals need action, the plans they generate demand implementation—one day at a time, the less multi-tasking the better, because being thorough is part of the recipe for success.
Re the sequester, it would be unusual for a large body like the government to radically alter with Saturn and Mercury retrograde, although the meaning of the planets themselves could spell out “restriction” which the sequester would bring . It is either an opportunity to stabilize or de-stabilize people…it is still murky. However, I have a lot of faith in the intelligence and will of President Obama to steer things towards stability.
Re slow business, I think in the U.S. we’re hitting bottom, consolidating, and getting stronger.
Re people looking for work: There’s no divination about obfuscatory February 2013 that looks reassuring, there looks to be a lot of anxiety floating around in the air. It’s a time to build personal strength and mind your thoughts—as Reverend James, a wise man from New Orleans once said to me behind his really dark glasses, “The direction you look is the way you are going.” I got the impression that in August, people were collectively and generally more positive about their prospects.
