Presidents Day is Feb. 17, 2014. If you are wondering if banks are open, if there is mail delivery, or if Walmart and Target are open on the federal holiday, check the list below before you head out on Monday.

Shoppers will find big Presidents Day sales during the holiday weekend. Walmart, Target, Sears, KMart and just about every retail store across the country will be open regular hours on Monday.

Need cash for your shopping trip? Banks, with a few exceptions, will be closed on Presidents Day. Use an ATM for unless you bank with TD Bank -- all branches will be open regular business hours on Monday.

If you need to send a package at the Post Office or are waiting for an important piece of mail to arrive in your mailbox, you won't be able to send or receive mail until Tuesday. All U.S. Post office locations will be closed on Feb. 17 and there will be no mail delivery.

Federal and State offices will also be closed on Monday. If you were hoping to get to the DMV to register your car or to the Social Security office to file an application, you will have to wait until Tuesday.

What else is closed on Presidents Day? The stock market, public schools and libraries will not be open on Monday.
