Environment: part of Barack Obama speech.

On January 21, 2013, during his inauguration, President Barack Obama gave a beautiful speech in front of the Capitol. It was one of hope, direction for a better environmental future, improved health care for everyone regardless of religion and income among other things.

Concern for the Environment bears some of the most controversial issues of any industrial country.

Environmental pollution is creating huge problems in every aspect of our lives. It is the time that a country such as the U.S must take the lead in dealing with toxic industries and other types of pollutants. The president, today, reinforced the will of the United States to embark and tackle such a problem.

Air pollution: a sacred ground contaminated with heavy metals.

  • Air pollution contains heavy metals that cause chronic inflammation leading to severe chronic illnesses.

Whether you’re living in a city or in the suburbs, you cannot escape air pollution. This is for the main part a worldwide problem.

Heavy toxic metals such as aluminum, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, lead, mercury and nickel are in the air we breathe. Besides that they exist in many everyday items such as food, cosmetics, and household products. Sometimes even in medications.

How are you exposed to heavy metals?

  • Low income families are certainly the more exposed to heavy metals.

Some if not all of this has to do with economics. Living in buildings close to highways or eating canned vegetables and fruits are unavoidable situations for many. Having to live and function in a dysfunctional society requires that many women resort to buying low price contaminated items like cosmetics or household products. Most affordable industrial foods, fruits and vegetables are sprayed with packed pesticides. Heavy metals are everywhere.
