President Barack Obama’s former campaign organization turned political action committee called this month ‘Action August.’ When it comes to climate change however, not many are inclined to take action as demonstrated by a distinct lack of attendees at an event yesterday in Washington D.C.
A ‘Climate Change Day of Action Rally’ was to be held in Georgetown and other locations yesterday. The announcement on the Organizing For Action (OFA) website exhorted people to, “Join local supporters at this Action August event to stand up and speak up to the climate deniers in Congress.”
ZERO PEOPLE at the OFA rally at the Georgetown Waterfront this morning. OMG CLIMATE CHANGE IS SUPER IMPORTANT…unless it rains.
Concerns about manmade climate change have been known to be fuel to the left’s fire. That however wasn’t the case with the Georgetown rally. Dismal turnouts at similar events in other locations across the nation were seen as well, even where the weather was nice.
Clearly embarrassed by the lack of ‘action’, OFA removed the event announcement from its website.
Alarmists have switched from using the term global warming to climate change. The light rain seen in the D.C. area yesterday was hardly an example of ‘extreme weather’, the latest term being used to try to send people into a panic.
The vernacular used however has clearly had little effect on Americans’ distaste and lack of desire for the topic.
