President Obama unveils the 2013 budget at NoVA - Annandale Virginia

President Barack Obama unveiled his 2013 budget to Northern Virginia Community College students Monday, 13 February 2012. He called for Congress to connect community college students with businesses in order to train and hire new workers - asking Congress to designate $8B to achieve this goal in hope to educate 2M future workers.

The "Community College to Career Fund" is only one part of the upcoming 2013 Presidential Budget. The pay for performance aspect of the Community College to Career Fund promotes high-tech industries, manufacturing, health care and transportation as key components of intended workforce skill sets. Baby Boomer retirement is opening up skilled worker positions unilaterally across the nation. The goal is to attract students to entrepreneurial pursuits, provide grants for state and local government recruitment companies and to support paid internships among lower income collegiates.

Former United States Commission of Education, Mark Schneider serves as Vice President of the American Institutes for Research previously stated, " There's no doubt that high-tech companies need skilled workers. . .we need measures of how well students are being trained . . . we need to track that . . . carefully. And, we need to make all that information available to students."

We can look forward to more information on the 2013 Presidential Budget, which appears to have a formidable chance of being instilled as the Republican Party continues to clamor over their internal ideologies and inability to strategize any presidential alterantives.

Certainly, President Obama has an eye on the future potential of America's college students and our growing economy.
