President Obama to visit Chicago

President Barack Obama will be visiting Chicago on Wednesday of this coming week for events involving the Democratic Party. The White House made the announcement which was reported on by the Chicago Tribune on Friday.

President Obama meets with Pope Francis at the Vatican

President Meets - and appears to Charm - Queen Maxima of The Netherlands

On Friday, March 28, the president was in the process of leaving Rome, Italy. He is expected to land in the United States sometime Saturday night after having visited Europe and Saudi Arabia. He was abroad for several days which included a nuclear summit in The Netherlands and a meeting with Pope Francis in the Vatican.

Next week, according to the White House’s announcement, President Obama will be traveling to Ann Arbor, Michigan to continue his quest for an increase to the minimum wage throughout the nation. That event will be on Wednesday. On the same day, he is scheduled to come to Chicago for activities conducted by the Democratic National Committee.

The president’s home is on the South Side of Chicago.
