GOP wages an internal war due to its inability to find creativity in governing for more than three months at a time. Representation of everyday Americans is a thing of the past as the GOP gives allegiance to power brokers in the form of 1% contributors. But, just how to attack President Obama and middle and lower class Americans, remains to be revealed.
Speaker John Boehner(R))Ohio proposed a bill last week to defund Obamacare and approve funding a budget through December 15, 2013, child's play.
But, Rep. Tom Graves(R) Georgia aligned with 42 Conservative GOP are supporting a bill to delay and defund Obamacare and increase military spending. Both bills from Boehner and Graves will be DOA if sent to the Senate.
Conservatives argue that Boehner's bill is not only 17 votes short from approval, but is only symbolic. GOP has no clear path to a unified caucus.
President Obama spoke on the DC circus, "Right now, the hard work Americans put in to get our economy back on track is at risk. And there's only one reason for it:: A group of far-right Republicans in Congress is obsessed with making an ideological point.
They refuse to pass a budget unless I let them sabotage Obamacare, something they know is not going to happen. Now, we're left with only four days before a government shutdown.
This is reckless and irresponsible. Republicans are not focused on what's best for Americans. They're playing political games.
I called House Speaker John Boehner the other night to tell him that Americans like you have worked too long and too hard to dig our nation out of the financial crisis, and the last thing we need is for Washington to manufacture another."
