Just hours before President Obama delivers his State of the Union address, former New Mexico Governor and Honorary Chairman of the Our America Initiative will host an online Reddit “Ask Me Anything” (AMA). Johnson was also the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee in the 2012 Presidential Election.
Johnson’s Reddit AMA will begin at 3:00 p.m. PT/6:00 p.m. ET, and can be accessed by going to www.reddit.com and simply searching “Gov. Gary Johnson”. Participants will submit questions, and Gov. Johnson will respond to as many as possible.
Governor Johnson recently resumed his post as Honorary Chairman of the Our America Initiative. The former New Mexico Governor was the 2012 Libertarian Party candidate for President, and garnered more votes than any Libertarian candidate in history.
The Libertarian Party will have former Libertarian candidate for Governor, and current Libertarian Party Executive Director Carla Howell will be delivering this years Libertarian response to the State of the Union Address. The video will be available on Facebook, as well as www.lp.org .
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is expected to give the Tea Party response while Florida Senator Marco Rubio will offer the Republican Party's response.
President Obama will address Congress and the nation this evening at 9:00 p.m. ET when he is expected to lay out his plans for the next four years of his second term. An estimated 44 million people are expected to watch the president this evening. Obama is expected to announce return of 34,000 troops from Afghanistan by early 2014 during his speech.
