The festivities for the presidential inauguration start on Sunday, but there is some music that can be heard prior to the big event. On Friday President Obama’s official inauguration playlist was released to the citizens of America so everyone could hear a few good tunes over the weekend. While most might find the list quite tame when it comes to musical preferences, citizens are intrigued to listen to what the Commander-in-Chief likes.
It’s pretty obvious that the ruler of the free world isn't into country music much and his preferences to boy bands is limitedr. Instead the list is composed of soulful music that shares messages of life, love and inspiration. The selection includes legends like Stevie Wonder and James Taylor and then a few odd groups like Glee (who covers a Lady Gaga song) and Mindless Behavior.
Whatever the audio pleasures of President Obama, he’s got the attention of the world who will be watching his special moment this long weekend. The swearing in ceremony will be covered on all the major networks and online live.
