President Barack Obama continued his tradition of releasing his NCAA men's and women's basketball tournament brackets, and naming who he thinks will win the championships. President Obama posted his choices to the official White House Blog. He names Indiana as his choice for the team win it all this year on the men's side, according to ESPN on Wednesday, March 20.
The President listed Louisville, Ohio State, Florida and Indiana as the teams that will comprise the “Final Four” in Atlanta. Mr. Obama thinks the Hoosiers will ultimately top the Cardinals in the National Championship game on April 8.
This marks the fifth year President Obama has published his tournament picks, but he’s only been correct once, when chose North Carolina in 2009. He says, “he thinks he can do better in his second term”.
The “Blog” says they’ll post the President’s women’s basketball tournament picks on Friday, but ESPN reports that he picked Baylor, California, UConn and Notre Dame to advance to New Orleans.
