Barack Obama has nominated one of the most far left politically extreme to the fringe nominees to his cabinet, Thomas Perez for Secretary of Labor. This nominee has a clear and long record of having consistently used his authority to side with the most far left position on major issues, often clearly out of the mainstream. Perez is currently the Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice.
It is believed that Perez was involved in the dismissal of the voter intimidation case agaisnt the New Black Panther party from the 2008 voter intimidation incident in Philadelphia as well as the decision of the Justice Department to file federal civil rights charges against Shefiff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona for enforcing illegal immigration laws. In those two instances, Perez clearly sides with the far left agenda and against the interests of justice and serving the public that elected his boss as president. No one but the hardest of hard line extremists (or a completely blithering pabulum puking liberal like Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers) can side with letting the Black Panther Party off the hook for that 2008 voter intimidation case.
As was exposed by whistleblower J. Christian Adams, the Civil Rights Division under Perez had a very clear and simple policy, one that I would call racist, on prosecuting civil rights cases. It was also one consistent with the politically correct definition of racism, that only racial minorities can be the victims of racism and only whites can be the ones doing the discriminating. Clearly that is wrong. But the policy under Perez followed this, if racial minorities were allegedly being intimidated from voting by whites, the case was investigated and prosecuted. As it should be. But if members of a racial minority were allegedly intimidating whites from voting, that case would not be investigated or prosecuted. Clearly that case should be pursued every bit as much as the former.
Perez is just the latest hard left appointee of this very radically liberal president who has appointed the likes of communist Van Jones and far left extremist Cass Sunstein among others to high administration positions. Anyone having any notion that they voted for a mainstream Democrat in either or both of the last two presidential election has themselves fooled. This is the most extreme far left president ever elected in our country and these extremist hard left appointments demonstrate that.
