'President Obama is not impressed' by Maroney, women's gymnastics team

You undoubtedly remember the meme that was "McKayla Maroney is not impressed." On Thursday, the U.S. women's Olympic team, including the "Fierce Five" (Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Kyle Ross, Jordyn Wieber and yes, McKayla Maroney) made their long overdue visit to the White House, but it appears that newly reelected President Barack Obama was not impressed.

In an image distributed by the White House (taken by White House photographer Pete Souza), Maroney is shown posing with her signature "not impressed" face. Standing next to her is President Obama, showing his famous sense of humor, mimicking her facial expression.

The "not impression" pose became gold for Maroney despite the fact that she made the face after winning a silver medal in the London this past summer. She had been expected to win gold in individual vault, but fell and took silver.

Since then Maroney's pose became a meme, and she's taken advantage of it, as well, becoming as well-known if not better known than teammate Gabby Douglas, winner of gold in the women's all-around competition. Maroney makes the face everywhere she appears, or at least seems to.

“Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President..?” Maroney later tweeted.

The photo has gone viral, and we wouldn't be surprised to see a new meme begun.
