President Barack Obama recently played a game of golf with superstar professional golfer Tiger Woods in Florida. He was so impressed with Woods’ expertise and prowess at the sport, he likened the athlete to a space alien, according to a Feb. 24, 2013 Washington Times report.
“He’s on another planet,” the president said of Woods when he spoke to Dan Ashley of ABC 7 News on Feb. 20.
He added, “He plays a different game than I do… I don’t think either party was nervous… he knew that I wasn’t a big threat to his world ranking and I knew that I better keep my day job.”
The two men met up at a luxurious golf resort over President’s Day weekend to play a round together for the first time, reports the Times.
According to the report, Woods said of President Obama, “He’s just a wonderful person to be around.”
Woods also made headlines Saturday when paparazzi snapped photos of him and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, who have not been seen together in public for years. The two met up with their children at a youth sporting event in Jupiter, Fla.
Woods has been romantically linked to Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn. After Vonn’s recent ski competition accident in Austria, Woods provided Vonn with his private jet so she could leave the country in style. Vonn has told the media she and Woods are just friends, while Woods’ camp has not yet commented on their alleged relationship.
