The summer harvest time is a short period when Farmer’s markets are brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables. You may even grow or even pick your own. Why not preserve that extra produce for the rest of the year?
Preserving the Harvest
On Thursday, August 21 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Cromwell Valley Park is offering Preserving the Harvest, a program suitable for all ages 9 and older, at the Willow Grove Nature Education Center.
The cost is $3.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is required as walk-ins are not allowed. Click here for a registration form.
Learn about canning, drying, and pickling fruits and vegetables for the seasons ahead. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the summer harvest all year round.
