Preschool teacher brags to parent about binding their child for refusing naptime

Most parents don't send their children to preschool so they can be abused by their teacher or bound with duct tape when they refuse to take a nap. On March 12 Huffington Post reports that that is exactly what happened to one parent, however, she didn't find out about it until months later when she attended a luncheon for parents and teachers of the Christian preschool her two-year-old daughter attends.

The incident took place several months before the parent found out that her daughter's hands and feet were bound with industrial tape when she refused to take a nap. The teacher left the preschool earlier in the year for unnamed reasons but returned for the luncheon where she retold the story and even shared a photo she took with past and previous colleagues as well as the parent of the child she bound.

Pastor Mike Barris made a statement that was seemingly wishy-washy in defense of the child as well as disbelieving that the incident even happened. California Department of Social Services is looking into the matter alongside the school board. The preschool will be on suspension for five days so the police can do a criminal investigation into the matter.

Many parents site incidents, while few and far between, as the reason they don't trust putting their children in daycare or preschool because the incidents always seem to become more and more aggressive and the children are getting younger and younger. Do you trust your child to go to preschool or daycare and be safe?
