Preschool lesson plan for Pumpkins

Morning Circle
First, talk about what a pumpkin is and why they are so popular in autumn. Bring a pumpkin, or several different ones to compare and sort. Cut a pumpkin open and let the children see and feel what the inside of a pumpkin is like. Have a discussion about how pumpkins grow and then about how they are food. Make a list of what everyone likes about pumpkins. Is there anything they dislike?
