Presbyterian Church Moves Toward Divestment & BDS
Today, the Middle Eastern Issues Committee of the Presbyterian church's general assembly voted 45-20 to begin divestment from three U.S. companies. The three are Caterpillar, who makes bulldozers used to destroy Palestinian homes and prepare land for illegal settlements, Hewlett-Packard who designs permit systems for the checkpoints and Motorola who designs virtual fences for Israeli settlements.
The value of these investments total US 21 million dollars. While the vote must go before plenary, this was viewed as a good sign. Discussions are also being held to add the language of apartheid to the agenda.
Efforts are also underway as a direct result of votes for positive investments in the Palestinian economy. This is refreshing news and one can only hope that more churches will weigh the moral side of the human rights issues and follow suit. See Mondoweiss.
Zionism Unsettled Helping to Dispel Myths
The Presbyterian Church published the excellent work, Zionism Unsettled, which has helped the Christian churches and the general public to become better informed on the distinctions between Zionism, a zealot based political ideology versus a love-based all embracing diverse religious community, consisting of Judaists, Arab Muslims and Christians all of whom formerly dwelled in Palestine in peace before the European settlements began in 1948. The Methodist Church and the Bill Gates Foundation (pressured by public outcry and embarrassment) already had voted to divest from G4S, a company involved in making surveillance equipment.
Pushback has come from lobbying groups such as J-Street who claim such actions are racist and shout anti-Semitism. This one term is often used in guilt-manipulation against non-Zionists and frightens many away from the controversy for fear of reprisal. However, the charge falls flat when these protests are equally made by religious Jews within Israel and in the "Diaspora" where the term becomes a "shibboleth" concept. In such cases they are labelled "self-hating Jews" simply because they oppose the settlements, occupation and the apartheid practices.
Perhaps one of the greatest turn of events is the education of the masses on the truth about both the term Semitic (which is a language not a race or ethnic group) and the origin of the Khazarian and Ashkenazi people. It is as though Arthur Koestler's blood, as did Abel's, cries out from the ground.
Concerning Semitic languages, there were two divisions of Semitic languages, divided into Western which included, the Northwest Group; Ugaritic, Canaanite-Phoencian (dialects) Hebrew Aramaic which also divided into Western Aramaic (Judeo-Palestinian Biblical, Samaritan dialects. Eastern Aramaic included (Judeo Babylonian Syriac, and other dialects)
The Southwest Group of Western Semitic languages included Ethiopic (Ge'ez), Tigre, and other dialects, and Arabic dialects.
Eastern Semitic languages were (Akkadian) divided into Assyrian and Babylonian
Yiddish is a "pseudo" Semitic language according to Mansoor. "Yiddish is a Jewish language, written in the Hebrew alphabet and spoken by Ashkenazi Jews as early as the Middle Ages, yet is is not a Semitic language. Basically, it is derived from a medieval German dialect of the Rhine region. According to the Standard Jewish Encyclopedia, German has supplied about 85 per cent of the vocabulary--many of the words having new applications--and the basic grammatical structure." Biblical Hebrew, Step By Step, Menahem Mansoor, pp. 7, 11-12.
For those who are Bible readers this should not be difficult to figure out. Noah had three sons. At the time, the Scriptures state all the earth had one language and one speech, i.e. before the confusion of languages and scattering of people at the tower of Babel.
Most of the peoples mentioned in the Bible who spoke the Semitic languages listed above were the descendants of Ham, (of African descent) not Shem. Ham's descendants were builders of cities and civilizations, whereas Shemites were wandering nomadic tent dwellers. They herded, domesticated and grazed animals, moved about in tents, and were not landowners. This is evident from the Patriarchs sojourning in Canaan, Abraham's purchase of the cave of Macpelah from the Hittites to bury Sarah after her death, and most evident because God had to "give" them land after delivering them from Egyptian (African) bondage.
Nimrod, the Mighty Hunter, Kingdom Builder, Son of Cush (Ethiopia)
Nimrod, the son of Cush, and grandson of Ham, was a kingdom builder which included Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir and Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah the principal city" (Gen. 8-10).
Further, how likely is it that Noah's DNA generated three separate races or ethnic groups of people? Chinese researcher and geneticist, Professor Jin Li of the University in Shanghai sought to prove the DNA of Chinese were different from everyone else. After tracing his DNA through thousands of samples to his surprise he discovered the Chinese originated from Africans. He claimed the Chinese are descendants of Joktan. The irony is, Joktan is the great grandson of Shem! (Gen. 10:22-26). That would mean Shem's origins would have African DNA. If Joktan was the true ancestor of the Chinese, they are more closely related to Abraham than Khazarian and Ashkenazi Jews. See video research here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka_IwxaIupI
Ashkenaz, Son of Gomer, Grandson of Japheth, Not Shem!
In addition, Ashkenaz is the grandson of Japheth, son of Gomer. Jamisson, Fausset and Brown's Bible Commentary (p. 109-110) records the following:
The location of this tribe points to a province of Armenia, or a region at least in the vicinity of the Caucasus, or towards the Black Sea. Knobel considers the name a compound word...the race of As-i.e., Asia. The modern Jews apply it to Germany.
Compare the above with the quote from Fausset's Bible dictionary:
"One of the three sons of Gomer, Japhet's son, i.e. of the Gomerian branch of the Japhetic division of the human race. Mentioned by Jeremiah (Jeremiah 51:27) in connection with Ararat and Minni, so that their locality then must have been the Armenan highland. (See ARARAT.) Their accompanying Cyrus to the siege of Babylon (588 B.C.) is there foretold. Probably a Cymric tribe. The name perhaps appears in Ascanias, a river in Asia Minor, and in Scandinavia. Knobel derives the German race from Ashkenaz, the name still given by the Robbins to Germany. He derives the name from As (the original of As-ia) and genos, gens, "a race," our "kin." Hasse suggests a connection with Axenus, Euxine Sea." Abraham's descendants originate from Shem through Arphaxad about 9 (nine) generations later in Ur of the Chaldeans (Babylon or Iraq), the kingdom built by Nimrod of the Ethiopians.
In contrast, from the evidence the origins of the Askhenazi people originate in Armenia, from Japheth two generations later. They did not inhabit the land of Canaan (Palestine) and were never promised it!
Neither is there any evidence that they spoke a Semitic language. In fact, Elam, a descendant of Shem, scattered after Babel, inhabited southern Iran. According to the ISBE (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia), they did not speak a Semitic language though he is the direct descendant of Shem. It appears that Ham's descendants were those whose Semitic tongues remained intact even following the confusion of Babel, where as this was not true of Shemites or Japhethites.
The big question which no one is asking or wants to ask is how did Noah have three sons with such diverse genetics, one with the darkest of the dark people of north and sub-Saharan Africa and the other son an Asian and European? What kind of DNA would Noah have to have to produce such diversity in one generation? Is this a question for Gregor Mendel Genetics 101? Genetic research from Jewish geneticist, Eran Elhaik, of Oxford University says there is no Jewish Genome.
Of course there is always the Talmudic myth debunked by the late Professor Tony Martin that Ham and his descendants turned Black after Ham saw his father uncovered in his tent. The problem with that is, the curse was on Canaan, his descendants, not Ham. It was not on all of Ham's descendants. Further, it was a prophecy fulfilled not then but in later generations, during the conquest, Josh. 9:1-15). So, only the Canaanites should have been Black. Before the Exodus Ham's descendants were builders and rulers of kingdoms and even remained so long after Israel inherited the land. The science nor do the facts support it. Thus much of what we're hearing is all based upon lies and myth.
