Preparing healthy lunches for kids

Parents occupying full time jobs must add to their daily routine the preparation of lunches for their children. Until we win the lottery and hire a personal cook, there are quick and easy options available to everyone. 

President's Choice Blue Menu products are prepared by a group of experts. Nutritionists and researchers, elaborate recipes based on what is recommended by Health Canada's Food Guide. To be approved, each product must meet at least one of these objectives: higher in Omega-3, higher in fibre, lower in fat, lower in sodium or containing soy proteins.

As many schools do not allow peanut butter sandwiches in lunches, keep it for the week-end. Ask your kids to help and make it a fun family moment. Use Blue Menu Almond Butter, Mixed Berry Fruit Spread and Whole Wheat Buns. Regular peanut butter contains oil and sometimes, sugar.
