Summer is just around the corner. Some tweens will be staying home alone for the first time, perhaps supervising younger siblings. Teens will be home alone and some teens will be looking for work. Prepare your kids to stay home alone, and help teens learn new skills in babysitting and CPR that may help them get work as a day camp counselor. Starting in March, Children’s Hospital in St Louis is offering classes that will help your kids learn how to safely stay home alone, improve teen babysitting skills and learn CPR skills.

Learning CPR
Price: $25
Knowing CPR provides teens with an important skill day care is looking for. This video-guided program includes instruction and hands on practice in infant, child and adult CPR, first aid for choking and the use of automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that when appropriate. Course facilitators use the American Heart Association material. Course includes a 65-page student manual.
