Sometimes, the destination takes a backseat to the journey. That's the philosophy of overlanding. Finding the unbeaten path, and exploring. It can be rough, dirty and full of challenges. If you're lucky! For those daring souls who enjoy wheeled adventure, the 2013 Overland Expo should definitely be on your itinerary.
The event will take place in Flagstaff, AZ this year, from May 15 to 19. This gathering is so many things, to all types of adventure travelers. It encompasses both four wheeled and two wheeled travel, includes training, vendor exhibition areas, roundtable discussions and the ever-popular Adventure Travel Film Festival.
With support from well known companies like BMW Motorcycles and Land Rover, the event just gets better each year. Companies large and small set up to display their wares, offer training and advice, and share experiences. Camping is available (and highly recommended with this crowd) onsite and nearby the venue.
