Prepare for National Tequila Day with Cabo Wabo drink recipes plus 30 more tequila recipe choices

SKYY Spirits & Sammy Hagar decided to whip up a little Mexican influence and intrigue while slipping in a bit of ‘kick ass’ Rock ‘n Roll attitude to the new bottle design of Cabo Wabo Tequila just in time for National Tequila Day. While the bottle is completely renovated and strikingly new, the liquid inside remains the same quality product you’ve known all along. This carries along with the theme that seems to be sweeping the nation in the liquor industry; classic is back and getting a face lift. What’s old is new. The liquor industry is bucking tradition and upgrading to a more modernized look and feel whether it happens to be a bottle, cocktail or whether it’s all in the name. 

 

Just the same, Friday is National Tequila Day. Skip tradition and go edgy. Friday night doesn’t have to be about mixing up mundane margaritas with Cabo Wabo Tequila leading the way. Cabo Wabo blazes a new path with fiery cocktails to stir the soul and soothe the burning desire for a little something off the beaten track.  

 

Cabo Habanero – This isn’t your father’s classic martini!

2 ounces Cabo Wabo Reposado Tequila

1 ounce Cinzano Dry Vermouth

1 small whole Habanero Pepper for garnish

 

Add ingredients to an ice-filled rocks glass. Stir and spice it up with a red rocker Habanero Pepper.

 

1 ounce Cabo Wabo Reposado Tequila

1 ounce Triple Sec

1 ounce Cointreau

1 ounce Southern Comfort

1 ounce Pineapple Juice

Shake it up and serve over ice in a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

 

1 ounce Cabo Reposado Tequila

1/2 ounce Almond Liqueur

Splash 151 Proof Rum

 

Layer Cabo Tequila and almond liqueur in a shot glass and float 151 proof rum. Light a flame on top and serve. Extinguish flame and shoot.
