We're headed out for powder well before most people wake up this morning. When I-70 turns into a post-apocalyptic tragedy by 6:30, you learn to leave even earlier.

Having said that, the early returns from the ski resorts over the past 24 hours look promising, with anywhere from 4" to 12" being reported thus far. We don't have the full report this morning since it's so early, but trust us, there will be powder to be had everywhere all weekend long.

In fact, the forecast calls for upwards of three feet of new snow through Tuesday morning, which will of course vary from location to location. Check back with us each morning for the latest.

In the meantime, do not be an out-of-town dufus who acts like they've never seen snow on the road before, or acts like they're still driving the mean streets of Chicago. Be nice, be safe and take it easy. K? K.
