Marvel Studios, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company is in pre-production on the live-action 3D sci-fi adventure film "Guardians of the Galaxy". Studio level casting is underway for the main characters in the film by the Walt Disney Studios VP of Casting. After the main characters are hired, additional casting will take place for co-starring and supporting roles, as well as voice-over actors for ADR (Additional Dialogue Recording) sessions. There will also be principal actor casting in London, UK where shooting will take place at Shepperton Studios. The stand-ins for the film's stars and background extras will be cast in London throughout the production, commencing in June, 2013.

Marvel Studios "Guardians of the Galaxy" Auditions
Starring in "Guardians of the Galaxy" is two-time Teen Choice Awards nominee Chris Pratt playing the role of U.S. fighter pilot Peter Quill, who becomes the interplanetary policeman Star-Lord. Pratt ended up being cast in the role instead of actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jim Sturgess, Zachary Levi, John Krasinski, and Michael Rosenbaum. Pratt recently completed shooting the DreamWorks film "The Delivery Man" starring opposite Cobie Smulders and Vince Vaughn. He is currently doing voice-over work on "Lego: The Piece of Resistance," playing the character Emmet. WWE superstar Dave Bautista is said to be in talks to play Drax the Destroyer.
