Pregnant mom's van driven into the water: Video captures rescue of 3 children

A pregnant mom's van drive into the ocean was allegedly done on purpose, reports the First Coast News on March 5. The video of the incident has gone viral, and those watching are stunned by the work bystanders and lifeguards did to save the three children who were in the van.

Reports now indicate that one of the children in the van had been screaming that the pregnant mom in the van was trying to kill them. Sadly, this is exactly what many feared as they watched the video of the frightening incident play out. The unnamed mother is said to have been driving along Daytona Beach Tuesday when she made a “hard turn” toward the ocean.

Tim Tesseneer was one of the first two men to reach the pregnant mom's van, and he says that two of the children in the back of the van had their arms out and were crying, “Our mommy's trying to kill us, please help.” The older two kids, ages 9 and 10, were rescued first, but their desperate pleas alerted rescuers to the fact a 3-year-old was still in the car. Luckily the third child was pulled to safety as well. The mother got herself safely out of the car as well, and bystanders said she seemed incoherent and quite out of it. Whether that was due to a medical emergency, mental health issues or other problems is unknown at this point.

The woman is said to be less than cooperative with authorities so far, but it is said she is 31-years-old and from South Carolina. The investigation into the pregnant mom's van incident remains under investigation. The children reportedly will be with family as the investigation into the incident continues.
