Pregnant Kate Middleton shops at Gap for jeggings

Kate Middleton may be the closest thing to a princess, but her latest shopping trip proves she's still a common girl at heart. The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge was spotted over the weekend shopping at a Gap store in London. "She was looking for jeggings, which are jeans that look like leggings, as she said she liked very skinny jeans," a Jan., 27 People report quotes a source as saying. "She didn't buy anything as she couldn't find the right leg length."

Kate Middleton is believed to be around 16 weeks pregnant and her choice of leg wear hints that her baby bump is finally starting to pop. Unlike traditional jeans, jeggings usually have a stretchier waist and more give in the leg. Jeggings and leggings are a popular choice with expectant mothers since they're more comfortable on an expanding belly -- especially before real maternity clothes are necessary.

Despite being the most photographed woman in the world, the Duchess managed to keep her recent shopping trip at Gap hush-hush. So far no pictures of Kate Middleton looking for jeggings have surfaced.

The last time the 31-year-old Duchess was photographed in public was on Jan., 11 when she attended the unveiling of her first official portrait. At that time, she was not sporting any kind of baby bump.
