Last month, Kate Middleton was hospitalized for extreme morning sickness, but Showbiz Spy reported on December 30th (and referenced in Spokane Celebrity Examiner, Cindy Kroiss' article of the same day) that she was now craving scones and lavender biscuits accompanied by English Breakfast tea.
The biscuits the Duchess of Cambridge favors are part of an organic food line owned by her father-in-law Prince Charles. These high-end treats are sold at Fortnum and Mason's, the upscale department store in London where Kate joined the Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Queen Elizabeth in March of last year for a royal tea as part of the Jubilee celebration (see Detroit Tea Examiner's, Jubilee Tea, March, 2012).
Kate Middleton enjoys her scones with clotted cream, a staple of afternoon tea, although Showbiz Spy quotes a source who says, unfortunately, the Duchess still can't keep anything down for long.
For locals craving scones, whether pregnant or not, Elwin and Company in Berkley offers variety of sweet and savory flavors.
