A pregnant guard has been accused of having sex with an inmate who was convicted of killing two New York cops, CNN reports Feb. 5.
A federal complaint cites Federal Bureau of Prisons officer, Nancy Gonzalez, 29, on suspicion of sexual abuse on a ward. Authorities confirm that Gonzalez had relationships with two different inmates in 2012 at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The names of the inmates haven't been released, but reports publish Ronell Wilson as possibly being the father of Gonzalez's baby. He was convicted of murdering two police officers in 2003 on Staten Island.
In the complaint, the guard informed one of the inmates about the other inmate getting her pregnant.
"I took a chance because I was so vulnerable and wanted to be loved and now I am carrying his child," Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez told others about her pregnancy and said she conceived the baby in June 2012 -- supposedly by Wilson. She thought somehow she was giving the him "hope" and got "sucked into his world."
There are videotapes reportedly showing the pregnant guard spending alone time on various occasions with Wilson. Witnesses claim they saw them "hugging and kissing."
Gonzalez was released on $150,000 after her first appearance. She could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the charge.
