She sits depressed in a shelter cage at the Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society about to deliver a liter of puppies; the shelter had no idea #59982 was pregnant at the time of her arrival on Sept. 9.
Puppies should not be born in a shelter.
Due to the facility's extremely high intake rate, they are a high kill shelter.
No soft bed, no warm blanket, and her spirit continues to drain from this sweet pit bull mixed breed who cannot figure why she is alone. All she knows is the fear and the depression of being in an unfamiliar place without the family she must have been part of a long time ago.
