A pregnant coach dies is one tragic story making top news headlines today, as the Christian Post reported this Saturday, March 16, that a pregnant lacrosse coach and her unborn baby were killed this weekend in a devastating bus crash that also led to the death of the bus driver and injuries of many players.
Under the headline, “Pregnant coach dies: Catholic School lacrosse coach and team involved in tragic bus crash”, sources report that a women’s lacrosse team hailing from Seton Hill University were involved in a grave accident following their bus slamming into a tree off the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Officials are currently investigating the cause of the crash, though there were no other vehicles around at the time of the accident.
The pregnant coach that passed away was Kristina Quigley, 30. She was in critical condition following the crash, and died from her injuries on the way to the hospital. The mom-to-be was six months pregnant, and officials confirmed that her unborn baby was also killed in the tragic crash.
The bus driver, Anthony Guaetta, 61, also died from the bus slamming into a tree off the road, while all other passengers involved in the crash have been taken to local hospitals as a precaution.
