Predictions from days gone by

Theories of cataclysm rain down upon humanity like so much New Year's confetti. Conjecture about when the world will end is nothing new though. As per NASA Science, the true story of the Mayan Calendar is actually more interesting than the myth surrounding 12- 21- 12. A series of end of the world notions comes from multiple sources

Mayan

Mayan culture invented a system for tracking dates that works like an odometer. The Mayan system of time keeping was so complex, that no one has completely figured it out to this day. As it turns out, the simple fact is comparable to an old car rolling over the mileage gage. Out with old, and in with the new.

Historical Observations

My father, a WWII veteran, had seen death and destruction on an epic scale. I think he needed a way to detach himself from the memories when he landed on a fact that referenced historical cycles. His favorite theory was that once the world population got too big, a sweeping and massive event always happened to diminish the numbers on a mass scale. Are these cataclysmic events preprogrammed like the Mayan calendar turning over on the long anticipated 12-21-12?

Medical Studies

More recently, in a casual conversation with my doctor brother-in-law, he discussed a study of rat populations concerning homosexuality. What scientists found was that after so much crowding and nonstop populating, the number of homosexual rats increased dramatically. The report is unconfirmed but the unofficial conclusion would be that same sex liaisons do not produce offspring. Hence, somewhat of a natural population control occurs through evolution.

Biblical

An interesting man, Less Feldick features talks in a televised program named "Through the Bible." Feldick, a self described bible teacher, is a farmer in Oklahoma. In his acknowledgement of the end, he says it will happen gradually. People will be disappearing from the earth plane at a massive rate. And he doesn't believe it will happen during this lifetime.

Ufology

Madeline Teagle, former president of a national UFO organization, espoused a theory similar to Feldick's. Information brought to earthlings from outer space entities points to the disappearance theory.

As we turn over a new year on the contemporary calendar, a retrospect reflects an extraordinary amount of deaths around the world in recent times. Tsunamis, hurricanes, floods, and warfare are revealing a stunning loss of population.

2013 may represent the end of a cycle concerning humanity, or simply a changing of the guard. Many predictions agree that a new consciousness slowly takes over in response to the fifth cycle of the recent, epic Venus transit. This forms a pentagram when a line is drawn between the five historical events. Conscience and consciousness is of uppermost importance. In order to survive a new vibration rate as earth's poles slowly change direction, humanity must approach from a spiritual standpoint first and foremost.
