Precious Snowflake Alert: Liberals decry NORAD escorting Santa

Sometimes no matter how hard America’s freedom fighters try to be the good guys that they really are, certain people manage to find fault, as reported by Fox News on Dec. 4, 2013.

Be Careful Over the Senkaku Islands, Santa…

The good folks at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) are ensuring both al-Qaeda terrorists and possibly the Chinese Air Force steer clear of knocking Santa, his team of reindeer as well as his sleigh full of presents for the good little girls and boys are smoked out of the Christmas Eve skies.

Nonetheless, self-proclaimed child advocacy groups have fired off their own surface to air missiles with warheads of self-righteous indignation at the guardians of our freedoms.

With the joint US-Canadian defense command tracking St. Nick since the mid-1950s, US Navy Captain Jeff Davis stated, “We wanted to let folks know that, hey, this is a NORAD video, and we’re the military and this is our mission.”

The naval aviator also added in regards to the Santa-tracking-program and the reason why NORAD exists:

It’s still cutesy since it’s for kids, but we don’t want people to lose sight of our true mission.

Enter Captain Buzzkill…

Nevertheless, California child and family psychologist and co-founder of the Boston-based Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood and noted killjoy Allen Kanner, whined to The Boston Globe that the Pentagon is “completely out of line” for linking Christmas with the Armed Forces.

Somehow forgetting that not once in the history of this nation has a child and family psychologist ever sacrificed their own life to ensure the freedoms enjoyed by all, Kanner further criticized NORAD:

Children associate Santa with gifts and fun and everything else that is positive about Christmas.

They are associating this with the military in children’s minds.

Haters Gonna Hate…

Aging hippie Amy Hagopian, assistant professor at the University of Washington’s made-up major Global Health, feigned outrage that the Department of Defense had the bad manners to educate children that those in the Profession of Arms are in the business of protecting the vulnerable and often help those who may be mistreated by mean people.

As Hagopian sneered:

I think people are quite aware of the military’s true mission.

If the military wants to keep its ranks stocked, it needs to appeal to children.

The military knows it can’t appeal to adults to volunteer.
