Two pre-teens stabbed their 12-year-old friend 19 times, leaving her severely wounded in the woods. According to CNN, the victim was found along a road in Waukesha by a bicyclist. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she immediately had surgery. She was listed in "stable condition" on Monday. The two suspects, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, were arrested hours after the victim was found.

The girls -- both 12 -- are being tried as adults. They have been charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide. They are being held on $500,000 bail and each face up to 60 years in prison if convicted.

The pre-teens chose to stab the 12-year-old 19 times on Saturday morning after a Friday night slumber party. They had been planning the murder for months according to the report. The girls were trying to make a sacrifice of sorts in honor of some mythical creature that they read about on the Internet.

"They first thought to kill the victim by placing duct tape over her mouth while she was sleeping and stabbing her in the neck, the complaint read. Next, the plan was to kill her in a bathroom where there was floor drain that could make cleanup easier, it continued. But, finally, the girls decided to do it in a park while playing a game of hide-and-seek, the complaint read."
