Pre-K information sessions going on this week for families in Queens

Pre-K Information Sessions: March 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Description: The New York City Department of Education will be hosting special information sessions for families with kids about to be enrolled into Pre-K. Representatives from the Office of Student Enrollment and Office of Early Childhood Education will present information about how families can handle the Pre-K admissions process; interpretation services will be made available.

NYC public schools' Pre-K application period is going on now; the deadline to apply is April 23, 2014. Families can either apply online or at an Enrollment Office; do not submit an application by mail or directly to a school.

The Affordable Care Act Information Session: March 12 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Description: This seminar is meant to provide parents and caregivers important information pertaining to the Affordable Care Act, and on ways that families can apply for the new insurance benefits. Refreshments will be served and teleconferencing will also be available. Space is limited so reservations are required; please call the number below to RSVP.
