Pre-K Information Sessions: March 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Description: The New York City Department of Education will be hosting special information sessions for families with kids about to be enrolled into Pre-K. Representatives from the Office of Student Enrollment and Office of Early Childhood Education will present information about how families can handle the Pre-K admissions process; interpretation services will be made available.

NYC public schools' Pre-K application period is going on now; the deadline to apply is April 23, 2014. Families can either apply online or at an Enrollment Office; do not submit an application by mail or directly to a school.

The Affordable Care Act Information Session: March 12 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Description: This seminar is meant to provide parents and caregivers important information pertaining to the Affordable Care Act, and on ways that families can apply for the new insurance benefits.
