Ray Price has been admitted to a Houston Hospital and is in critical condition this afternoon suffering from a serious blood infection.
Ray Price is best known for the song, “For the Good Times,” Ray became a member of Nashville's Grand Ole Opry in 1952. In 2012 and 2013, Price has been working on a new CD release entitled, "My Old Friend."
He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996. Fans are still waiting on a release date for that album. It is the follow up to Price’s 2002's "Time" (Audium/Koch).
Price's name did show up on the Billboard charts two years ago with "Run That by Me One More Time," a Lost Highway duets album with Willie Nelson that debuted at No. 62 on the Country Albums tally.
That was the second album released about and for the longtime friends of Price; the first was, "San Antonio Rose" (Columbia), and that was issued in 1980.
Fans can send get-well wishes to Price at PO Box 1986, Mt. Pleasant, TX 75456.
