By now you have probably heard that Hillary Rodham Clinton is suffering from a blood clot supposedly a result of her recent fall. In that fall, she suffered a head injury and concussion.
Some have been political in their response to her fall (and injury) saying that she was only using this as an excuse to not testify in the Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. While she took the responsibility because there were those in her group who dropped the ball, she has not been blamed.
At some point she acquired a virus which left her in a very weaken condition. She apparently passed out and fell thus causing the head injury while at home.
While I do not agree with her politics and/or the things she advocates and stands for, I certainly can appreciate her situation. Late in August of this year, I had some kind of mystery disease where I lost 24 pounds in 24 days and spent nine days in the hospital. I was sent home via ambulance because I was too weak to stand up.
The next morning, September 22, 2012, I got up to go to the bathroom, passed out, hit my head on the hinge of my closet door and ripped open my head with bleeding on the outside and a brain bleed on the inside with a severe concussion. I spent four days in the head trauma center at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. I am still struggling with the after effects. I can so identify with her on that.
If you are a supporter and/or fan of Ms. Clinton, it will be no effort for you to pray for her complete recovery of this blood clot. If you are not; and if you are a Christian. you are compelled to pray for her as well.
Dear God:
We are a troubled nation as you well know and we are now coming off a very bad year for America and as we face another new year, please help us to realize that this country is what the people of America makes her.
If we continue to hate (which is not YOUR will), and if we continue to choose up sides and refuse to forgive and pray for those who as the Bible says, “spitefully” uses us, then our course will likely follow the past; as it indicateds that we have not learned anything by YOUR chastisement
Lord, you know the heart of each of us and you know what our walk with YOU is like. We are told not to judge lest we be judged; but we know that does not mean we can’t be fruit inspectors and judge a tree by the fruit it bears.
Many believe that Ms. Clinton has borne good fruit in many ways; but stand steadfast against her socialist views and politics. But as a child of YOURS, we pray that she will have a complete recovery without any complications; and that she will acknowledge that all good and great things comes from YOU and that her heart will be softened toward YOU and YOUR kingdom and not just making points for politics in this kingdom. Amen
The Associated Press reports:
“The former first lady and senator, who had always planned to step down as America's top diplomat in January, is known for her grueling travel schedule. She is the most traveled secretary of state in history, having visited 112 countries while in the job.”
With her stepping down comes the important task of choosing someone to take her place. Senator John Kerry has been nominated by the President much to the chagrin of so many. Some may have forgotten his atrocious behavior during the Vietnam War in which he dissed our soldiers while they were still in harm’s way fighting for our country.
He is not looked upon kindly by the military; and of course, there are those who do not agree with his politics as well. Many are praying that he will not be confirmed feeling there are a great many others who are more suited and qualified.
It seems that Americans have a lot of praying to do this year for healing and peace in our country as we bring in a new year. We should be praying every day that we will be given another chance by Almighty God; as we once again have respect for one another and honor life – all life – those who are pre-born, born with disabilities, and those who are elderly; and even those we do not agree with - but who stands in the need of God’s love, redemption, and salvation. It was once said, “Those who deserve our love the least, need it the most!”
Let us covet together that we will be faithful this new year first of all to God, then our families and then our country – making sure that Christ is in the center of it all.
Let us look for things to once again to love about our country and be positive and patriotic in our words, deeds, and actions; and do everything in our own power and personal lives to bring about real change – a change back to the America that our forefathers dreamed and planned for – our defenders who fought and gave their life’s blood for our freedom, and for our once elevated status in the world as the America the Beautiful, the land of the free, and the home of the brave as we continue to be ONE NATION UNDER God, and be ruled by WE THE PEOPLE.
We need to lay down our weapons against each other and say with Pogo, ”We have met the enemy and he is us!”
America will only change when the American people change. Shall we all begin the change - on this dawn of a new year? May each of you have a glorious and wonderful New Year as we look to almighty God in the good times as well as the bad.For more on

John Kerry Biography:
Verse of the Day at the dawn of 2013: “This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIV
