Special intercession July 1-7
There are thousands of intercessors across the nation who believe it is a part of their assignment on this Earth to pray for the needs of the people, the nation, the governmental leaders, and the countries of the world. There are hundreds of intercessors in every state in America. There are hundreds of intercessors in our state of Florida. There are intercessors in each and every church and synagogue who petition the heavens for divine intervention, mercy, hope and change. Hope and change coming from above breeds Kingdom results. We all want to see more of the kingdom of God manifested on the earth, especially at this time.
Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of evangelist Billy Graham, is calling our country to a Prayer initiative called 777 on July 7, 2014. She is asking the intercessors to pray during the first seven days in the seventh month. Then on the 7th day, July 7, we are to pray and fast for 7 hours. Utilizing the foundation scripture of 2 Chronicles 7: 14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Last year's Honorary Chair for the National Day of Prayer was Carolyn Hinton, former Bradenton native. This year she has picked up the banner, and is raising the call for all intercessors to join in this specific Prayer Venture. Carolyn is quoted “The purpose is three-fold:
· For God the Father to restrain, protect, and deliver His people from the evil that has come into our world.
· For God the Son to be exalted, magnified, and glorified in His church, in our nation, and in our lives.
· For God the Holy Spirit to fall on us in a fresh way, compelling the church to repent of sin and our nation to return to faith in the living God, resulting in a great national spiritual awakening.”
