Pratt & Whitney to create 110 new jobs in South Florida

Pratt & Whitney opened a new West Palm Beach Engine Center in West Palm Beach on June 16. Florida Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera attended the event. Pratt & Whitney will create 110 new jobs at the facility by the end of 2016 for its military Auxiliary Power Unit, according to a June 16 release by the Office of Governor Rick Scott.

Governor Rick Scott was quoted as saying, “Today we are excited to announce the addition of 110 new jobs. As our economy continues to improve, more and more opportunities are available for Florida families,” said Governor Rick Scott.
The jobs created by the new facility will pay well and offer more opportunities for working people.

“This is good news. It means more money for the local economy and it will help working people like me,” said Ricardo Ortiz, a waiter.
