Reward your sweet tooth by being sweet, tonight at the Practical Art’s Pie Social.

With all donations and 10% of gallery sales going to benefit the Phoenix Art Museum, you have no reason not to indulge a little bit. The Pie Social will take place tonight, Friday, March 28th from 7 – 9 pm.

Have a slice of one of your old favorites, or try one of Karen Olson of Vonceil Pie’s delectable creations; past selections have included Mexican Chocolate, Banana Peanut Butter Cream, and Jalapeno Strawberry. A $5 donation to the Phoenix Art Museum buys you a slice, while a $25 purchase in the shop or a $10 donation gets you as many slices as you can handle.

While you are there, take a second to check out all of the amazing locally crafted goods, and maybe you can pick up a hand-made plate to eat your pie on.
Make sure to view the current exhibition at Practical Art, “I’ll Paint on Any Thing – Circus Sideshow” by Jesse Perry. Presenting an “animated look at outcasts,” the artist depicts characterizations of society’s outsiders on various found objects, visualizing the struggle of these characters as they try to “fit in.” The exhibition closes March 31st.
