Two Rhode Island Powerball Winners
A Cranston, Rhode Island woman claimed a prize worth $40,000, thanks to the Powerball Power Play option. The woman successfully matched four out of five white Powerball winning numbers, and the red Powerball number for the third-tier prize.
Rhode Island Lottery officials reported the winning Powerball ticket was purchased at ABC Gas on 1036 Reservoir Avenue in Cranston, for the Feb. 13 drawing, but she just got around to claiming it now. The standard prize amount is $10,000, however, the Cranston woman spent an extra dollar on a Power Play ticket which automatically increased the prize to $40,000.
Meanwhile, another Rhode Island Powerball winner is holding onto a huge prize and hasn't come forward to claim it as of Wednesday, Feb. 20. The $2 million unclaimed Powerball lottery ticket was purchased from AJ's Mini Market, 939 Social St., Woonsocket, for the Feb. 6 drawing. Check your Powerball tickets now. If you matched five out of six white Powerball winning numbers, but not the red Powerball number for this drawing, you could be the Rhode Island millionaire!
Mega Millions Winning Numbers
In other lottery news, the Mega Millions winning numbers for Feb. 19, 2013 were 1, 15, 19, 30, 56, the Mega Ball number was 28, and the Megaplier was X 3. There was one $26 million Mega Millions jackpot winner Tuesday night. The Maryland Mega Millions jackpot winner purchased the lucky ticket at a Shell station on Lakeview Drive in Mount Airy. It remains unclaimed at this time.
