Saturday's Powerball jackpot winner could also take $25.1 million if they want the jackpot all at once in cold hard cash. Both options are before federal and state taxes are taken out.
The most recent Powerball drawing produced one Powerball jackpot winner. The Virginia Powerball winner matched all six Powerball winning numbers for the $217 million jackpot. According to The Guardian Express on Feb. 9, the Virginia Powerball winning lottery ticket remains unclaimed at this time.
If no one matches all six Powerball winning numbers in the Saturday, Feb. 9 drawing, the next Powerball jackpot will most likely reach $50 million or more by the next drawing.
BREAKING NEWS: The Powerball winning numbers results for Feb. 9, 2013, are 5, 6, 16, 36, 58, and the red Powerball number is 3.
In other lottery news, the Mega Millions winning numbers for Feb. 8, 2013, are 6, 15, 20, 39, 50, the Mega Ball number is 5, and the Megaplier number is X 4. There were no Mega Millions jackpot winners Friday night. Lottery winners in California, Connecticut, Ohio and West Virginia matched five out of six Mega Millions winning numbers to take home the second-tier prize.
