Congratulations to the latest Powerball winners! Not only did a Virginia Powerball winner match all six Powerball winning numbers for the $217.2 million jackpot in the Feb. 6, 2013 drawing, but according to Rhode Island Lottery officials Thursday, Feb. 7, one Rhode Island Powerball winner won a $2 million prize, and another player won $10,000 as well.
The Powerball results for Feb. 6, 2103, are 5, 27, 36, 38, 41, and the red Powerball number is 12.
Rhode Island Powerball Winners Score Huge Prizes
The $2,000,000 Rhode Island Powerball Power Play ticket was purchased at AJ's Mini Market, 939 Social St., Woonsocket. The standard prize amount is $1 million, but the Rhode Island lottery winner elected to purchase a Power Play ticket for an extra dollar which instantly doubled the prize amount to $2 million.
Another Rhode Island Powerball winner scored at $10,000 lottery prize by matching four out of five Powerball winning numbers, and the red Powerball number. The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at Olde Smoke Shoppe, 130 Westminster St. in Providence. Had the lottery winner also purchased a Power Play ticket, the prize would have automatically been increased to $40,000 instead.
Rhode Island Lottery officials say this is the second $2 million winning Powerball ticket sold in Rhode Island in just two months. Rhode Island is quickly becoming one of the luckiest states for buying winning lottery tickets! Neither ticket has been claimed at this time.
When is the Next Powerball Drawing?
The next Powerball drawing is Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 10:59 p.m. EST. Since there there was one Virginia Powerball winner announced, the next Powerball jackpot will be reset to a minimum of $40 million. Powerball winning numbers are drawn live Wednesday and Saturday evenings, and is played in 42 States, Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.
Latest Mega Millions Results
The latest Mega Millions winning numbers for the Feb. 6, 2013 drawing, were 2, 5, 10, 26, 44, the Mega Ball number was 46, and the Megaplier number was X 4. There was one Mega Millions jackpot winners for this drawing. The $19 million winning ticket was sold by the Michigan Lottery. The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 8 at 11 p.m.
