Meanwhile, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced on Monday, Jan. 6, that although there were no second or third-tier Powerball winners in the last drawing, a total of 16,654 New Jersey players took home an estimated $94,056 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200. The Powerball winning numbers for the Saturday, January 4 drawing were 19, 20, 37, 41, 58, and the red Powerball number was 14.

Carole Hedinger commented,

"Congratulations to these fortunate lottery winners who purchased the winning tickets. These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners."

What Time is the Powerball Drawing?

According to the Florida Lottery, the next Powerball drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014. The Powerball game is played in 43 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Powerball winning numbers are drawn live Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Tickets cost $2 each, and another $1 for the Power Play option which could instantly multiply your prize winnings.

What's the probability of winning the Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, Jan. 8? Lottery officials say the overall odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is 1 in 175,223,510, meaning you are 251 times more likely to be hit by lightning! The odds of winning any prize is 1 in 31.85.
