Powerball ticket worth $1M unclaimed, due to expire soon

A Powerball ticket worth $1 million remains unclaimed from a drawing last September. The lottery ticket is due by March 18 and is somewhere in North Carolina. MSN reports March 11 that the Powerball ticket was sold at the Adams Mart on East Independence Boulevard in the town of Matthews.

If anyone there has a Powerball ticket that's been sitting around a while, be sure to check the numbers one last time. Numbers in that drawing were 1-5-8-39-50 with a Powerball number of 23.

The ticket is valid only one more week, so the ticket holder has limited time in claiming the $1 million cash prize or it will be too late.

Wednesday night another Powerball drawing will determine if there's a winner of the growing jackpot. After no one drew the winning ticket for the March 9 drawing of $150 million, the jackpot has gone up to $183 million. Eight tickets from last Saturday night's drawing resulted in winning all five numbers, but not the Powerball numbers.

Numbers for the next Powerball drawing will take place at 10:59, ET. Players in Portland, Ore. will be able to see if they won at 7:59 p.m., ET.
