Powerball jackpot rises to $320 million: Ticket holders await winning numbers

The $320 million Powerball jackpot winning numbers will be drawn on Saturday, March 23, 2013 with many ticket holders anxious to hear the lottery results that could turn them into a multi-millionaire.

No one matched all five numbers and the Powerball in the drawing on Wednesday, March 20, so the jackpot for Saturday night will be at least $320 million, causing a frenzy at lottery retailers.

The lump sum payout for the $320 million jackpot is $198.3 million before taxes. Tickets cost $2 each, so it may be worth playing for a shot at becoming very, very rich.

The winning numbers drawn on March 20 were 13, 14, 17, 43, 54 and the Powerball was 15.

Although no one matched all of the numbers to win the jackpot, there were three tickets sold that matched all five numbers, making ticket holders in FL, KY and OH instant millionaires on Wednesday night.

How much will you win on Saturday night if you match all five numbers and the Powerball?

If you are the only winning ticket holder and don't have to share the jackpot, you will get a lump sum of approximately $198.3 million before Uncle Sam takes his share.

You can also choose to get the full jackpot ($320 million) paid out over 29 years (30 payments).

Purchase a Powerball ticket at any lottery retailer until 9:50 p.m. on March 23 for a chance to win Saturday night's big jackpot.

Tickets are sold in 42 states, Washington, D.C., and the US Virgin Islands.
