Powerball jackpot at $183M: No winner on March 9 drawing

The Powerball jackpot will increase to an estimated $183 million for Wednesday night's drawing because there was no winner for the March 9 drawing of $150 million. According to the Boston Herald on Sunday, the lottery win will increase to about $183 million.

Powerball numbers drawn Saturday night were 10-37-40-46-52 with a Powerball number of 12.

Two winning lottery tickets worth $1 million were sold -- with one in Pennsylvania and the other in Ohio. One Power Play Match 5 winner was sold in South Carolina.

On last Wednesday night's drawing, eight winners resulted from the Powerball jackpot who matched all five numbers, but not the Powerball number.

Odds of winning last night's jackpot of $150 million was 1 in 175,223,510.00. There was a greater chance of being struck by lighting or being one of the top contestants on "American Idol." As the Powerball jackpot grows, the odds of winning are less likely.

The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, March 13 at 10:59, ET. For players in Portland, Ore. the time is 7:59 p.m., PT.

Will there be a winner next time or is this another case of the jackpot growing to an all-time high? The largest Powerball jackpot win was drawn Nov. 28, 2012 for $587.50 million. It was split by two winning tickets -- one in Arizona and one in Missouri.
