This year is the year to be more creative as you get more of what you want from this life. Are you ready to free yourself of some of the inner obstacles that keep you from enjoying life to its fullest? Here are two more events to consider to set the stage for the coming year.
The Power of Shadow: Movie and more, with Lori Shin and Nomali Perera
The Shadow Effect is a movie by Debbie Ford and will introduce the topic of what Jung called the Shadow or Shadow Aspect. Attend the movie for free on Thursday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Join the private discussion and practice group for five sessions. The flyer for this event reads, According to Jung, the shadow, in being instinctive and irrational, is prone to projection: (for example) turning a personal inferiority into a perceived deficiency in someone else. Jung writes that if these projections are unrecognized, the Shadow then has a free hand and can bring about some other situation characteristic of its power. These projections can cripple individuals and relationships by forming an ever-thicker fog of illusion or disillusion between the ego and the world outside of ourselves.
The program is limited to 15 participants. Included with the program fee are coaching sessions, not to be confused with therapy. The group will meet every other Thursday evening for five sessions. The dates are 1/27, 2/10, 2/24, 3/10 and 3/24 and will meet from 6:30pm - 9:00pm. Contact the leaders for more information or to schedule a private session at: email@example.com or call 303-541-1540
Cost: Boulder Integral Members: $100 ($20 per session) - Non Members: $125 ($25 per session)
Boulder Integral Center, 2805 Broadway Street, Boulder, CO
Starting Thursday, January 20 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Artistic Manifestations: If you paint it, it will come
Artistic Manifestations is a creative and fun class that combines the energy of Feng Shui and the law of attraction with acrylic painting to help you create more of what you want in your life and allow miracles to happen. Infuse your work of art with positive energy to attract the abundance, love, health, relaxation and spiritual growth you deserve.
Your class includes a guided visualization to help you develop your ideas for the following two hours of expressive, creative painting. The January and February classes will focus on getting what you want out of love and romance--leave with a unique painting for your sweetheart (or yourself) painting with your love, gratitude, and appreciation. Purchase materials in advance or pay additional $15 materials fee for supplies. Call Caryn Colgan at 720-401-4824 for more information.
