When I sit down to write an article I am like a kid in a candy store. As my fingers glide over the keys on my PC I truly feel as if I have the opportunity to produce one of the most meaningful and useful small business articles. I am a lucky guy!
Another lucky and talented guy is Surprise, AZ marketing expert Bill Gluth (www.billgluth.com). Bill has been a valuable source of mine since I began reporting for www.Examiner.com in 2010. His marketing nuggets come from someone who values simplicity and common sense.
In a recent blog article Gluth spoke of finding one’s “True Power.” Much like the Wizard of Oz, Gluth offers you a magical place that is accessible to everyone – “The Moment” or “Right Now”. Gluth urges his readers to take advantage of every moment. This glimmer of time glitters and begs to be captured.
Too many people waste their precious moments. A large number of us have conversations with ourselves that go something like this, “One day I will start that.” Or “Someday my business and life will be on the exact same track I want it to be.”
The truth is unless you take steps toward your ultimate goals every day and every minute you will not reach the gold ring. Fill your days with reactions and not actions, with worry and doubt and you are sure to fail.
Now Gluth challenges us to stay focused on the moment. Write down what you really want out of life. The next step is to create an action plan. So now you have your vision and an action plan. Undertake this exercise each day and every day after tomorrow. “Tiny steps that focus on this very moment is the shortest path to reaching any dream, desire or goal,” concludes Gluth.
