Built in 1752 for John Potts, ironmaster and founder of Pottstown,Pottsgrove Manor exemplifies the restrained elegance of early Georgian architecture. Sold out of the family in 1783 the mansion has been restored to recreate the lifestyle and times of the Potts family.
Pottsgrove Manor hosts educational demonstrations and programs and displays numerous artifacts from the time period. We enjoy the programs that include the Tapestry Historic Dance Ensemble, a group of living historians who bring History to Life at Pottsgrove. Group trips are welcome.
