Details of J.K. Rowling’s have been leaked according to a report by The Times of London. The report claims that Pottermore is an online game complete with a real-life treasure hunt. The Pottermore treasure hunt “gives users clues which will lead them to prizes hidden in the real world.”

According to the report, a document was accidentally released early with details of the marketing strategy for online game. The Pottermore treasure hunt has a unknown number of magic wands hidden in the US and Britain and possibly even other countries.

So much planning has went in to, it seems unlikely that the leak (if true) is really a leak at all. J.K. Rowling does not let any information get out unless she chooses to release it.

No one is really sure what Pottermore will turn out to be. The thought of an online Harry Potter game is very exciting. A real-life treasure hunt would be icing on the cake.

J.K. Rowling will make the official announcement at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London on Thursday, June 23, 2011.
